Wands of Wonder: A Magic Money Tool

A wand is used for directing energy. It is best to make your wand from found wood and instill it with your personal energy. You can go out into a nearby park or the woods to find a suitable branch that has fallen. Never cut a wand from a tree as that energy will be retained by the wand. Allow Mother Nature to find choose on for you; she is always right. You might find the perfect weathered wand on a beach as driftwood. Each tree has its distinctive properties:

Ash: Ash grows fast and its seedlings root everywhere, so it's persistent. Use ash for prosperity, transformation, and self-improvement.

Birch:. Use a birch wand for healing spells, for calming situations, and for requesting a diplomatic solution or a good outcome for any business meeting.

Crab Apple: will provide bent and twisted, gnarled wands. Apple, as we know, is the tree of knowledge and wisdom and also represents plenty. They are wonderful tools for guidance.

Rowan or Mountain Ash: This is a “portal tree”, therefore when you want to undertake a journey or a guided visualization, keep your Mountain Ash wand close by.

Oak: is also good for healing and protection. It makes a good, long-lasting wand for intensely focused work. If you choose to use only one wand, make it oak.

Candle Calm Spell

With this spell, you can create a week of blissful and composed calm! On a Monday evening during the waning moon, anoint a black or gray candle with violet essential oil. Place the candle on your altar beside a vase of fresh violets or other purple flowers. Sit in front of your altar as twilight begins, and when the sun is completely gone, light the candle and chant:

    Care and woe, begone.

I am the mountain, the river, the tree, the grass, and the moon.

I receive my strength from Nature, and she is my center.

Tomorrow and the next, all gladness will enter.

    Harm to none, only good.

Presence of Peace: Citrine Spell

To begin this comforting ritual, anoint a yellow candle with calming and uplifting bergamot oil, then light it to bring mental clarity. Place a yellow rose in a vase to the left of the candle. To the right, place a bowl containing at least two citrine or quartz crystals.

Next, you will need saffron water, which is made quite easily by simmering a single teaspoon of saffron from your cupboard in two quarts of distilled water. Let the saffron water cool to room temperature and pour it into the bowl of crystals. Put your hands together in prayer and dip them in the bowl. Touch your third eye in the center of your forehead, anointing yourself with the saffron water. Now, speak aloud:

Goddess great, fill me with your presence.

This night, I am whole and at peace.

Breathing in, breathing out, I feel your safe embrace.

    And so it is.

Lavender Love Massage Bars

Massage bars should look, smell, and feel luxurious. Cocoa butter is beloved for its delicious chocolate scent. I also recommend shea butter or mango butter as other options, for they are also sumptuous. You will need:

  • 3 ounces cocoa butter
  • 3 ounces beeswax
  • 3 ounces almond oil
  • 1 teaspoon of lavender essential oil
  • soap bar molds (available at all craft stores)

Slowly heat the beeswax, almond oil, and cocoa butter in a double boiler over low heat until just melted, then remove from heat. Add essential oil when mixture has cooled slightly and stir it in well. Pour into soap molds and cool until hardened, approximately two hours. Place in freezer for a few minutes before popping the bars out of the molds. To use, rub massage bar on the skin—the warmth of the skin immediately melts the bar. Package your handmade massage bar in a pretty lined basket and give it as a thoughtful gift.

Mint Refreshes Body and Mind

Another useful herb is mint, which comes from the Latin menthe, which literally means thought. Mint is so easily grown that a little bunch in the backyard can go on to become a scentful, attractive groundcover. It is also called the flower of eternal refreshment. Woven into a wreath, it bestows brilliance, artistic inspiration, and prophetic ability. As a tea, it accomplishes miracles of calming the stomach and the mind at the same time.

Lazulite—Stone of Heaven

Lazulite, coming from the Arabic word for heaven, got its name for the lovely sky blue color. It also occurs in a pretty oceanic blue or green. This is another one of those stones that has yet to hit major, mainstream popularity, but it might not happen because it is fairly obscure and rare. Lazulite can be found throughout North America and in the diverse locations of Brazil and Afghanistan. It is a calming crystal and offers clarity in health matters, as well, in that it is a filtering and cleansing agent of the blood and the immune system.

I predict lazulite will become enormously trendy as soon as people find out that it is a great stone for organizing. It seems that the feng shui, decluttering, and organizing bug has really taken hold in our current culture. So, help me spread the word—get your act together with lazulite! Lazulite clears away blocks and helps line ideas up in your mind, so you can then replicate them in your outer world. While lazulite is an aid to getting structured, it also prevents compulsive or addictive personality behaviors. It is great for stopping worry.

Meditating with lazulite will help you increase your sense of self-worth. This same crystalline quality can also keep obstacles from getting in the way of your creativity and communication. Personally, I feel like I need to encrust my walls with lazulite.
