Maple Tree Magic - Prosperity Rite

As always, you can create your own luck and stimulate the flow of money into your life with this ever-so-helpful tree energy and the special magic of maple.

You will need:

  • A green stone like Aventurine and Red sardonyx
  • Silver or gold coins (i.e., new pennies/nickels/quarters/dimes/silver dollars or Feng Shui Chinese Coins)
  • Lodestone Magnetic sand in silver or gold (available online)
  • Money drawing potion (mix 3 teaspoons ground maple leaves together with 3 teaspoons sugar)
  • A small purple bowl

Directions:

  1. Place the coins in the bowl.

  2. Place the stones on top of the coins.

  3. Sprinkle 1/3 of the money drawing potion and 4 tablespoons of the magnetic sand over the coins and the stones.

  4. Place the bowl under your bed and be sure no pets or children can get into the bowl. Say: “Prosperity finds me and blesses me with its bounty, this day and every day, Amen.” (Or however you close a prayer or affirmation.)

  5. Every 3 days for a total of 3 times, sprinkle the bowl with another third of the money drawing potion and 1 more tablespoon of magnetic sand.

  6. Each night before going to sleep, hold the bowl in your hands and visualize how prosperity will find you, how you feel when you have it, and exactly what you can do to attract it. Be very specific (“I will do x,y, and z to bring prosperity into my life”). Hold this thought in your mind as you place the bowl back under your bed and go to sleep.

  7. After nine days, accept that the prosperity spell is complete. Return the ingredients to the earth (you may keep the stone and coins with you) and know that Prosperity is yours.

  8. Make a list of all the things that you already have that make you feel prosperous. Bless them and leave the list under the stone and coins. Read the list daily.

DIY Crystal Charm

This “floating” crystal choker seems magical because the gems appear to hover around your lovely neck all by themselves. And maybe sometimes they do! The secret, aside from the magical gems, is the invisible thread, easily obtained at any craft store. The purpose of the Choker of Charm is to make you simply irresistible to whomever you wish to attract. Wake your boyfriend up with this enchanted choker, or hit the town with your friends and notice how a crowd develops around YOU!

You’ll need these ingredients: twenty-one crystal beads, twenty-two inches of invisible thread, a lobster-claw clasp, and glue.

First, tie one end of the invisible thread to the loop in the lobster-claw clasp, also readily available at any craft store and most jewelry stores. Knot the thread twice, add a drop of glue, and allow the thread to dry. Clip off the extra thread after the glue has dried. Then, string three beads onto the thread about three-quarters of an inch from the clasp and tie a knot in the thread beside the beads. Repeat until you have used all the beads. There will be seven groups of three, and each group of crystals should be evenly separated. At the last bead, tie the end of the thread to the clasp ring.

Here are a few irresistible crystals to consider using in your Choker of Charm:

  • Amazonite makes you hopeful

  • Amber boosts your spirits—you will feel good!

  • Aventurine creates good opportunities

  • Banded agate attracts a lover of strength and courage

  • Brown jasper makes you confident and emotionally secure

  • Opal enhances beauty and makes you more psychic

  • Pearl augments femininity

Aventurine

Associated with the eyes, this crystal is most commonly found in green, but it also appears in blue, red, and brown. Aventurine comes from Russia, India, Nepal, and Brazil and was at one time believed by Tibetans to be able to overcome myopia, both literally and figuratively. In Tibet, aventurine was also thought to have the ability to open the third eye and to release imagination and perception.

Considered to be beneficial to the thymus and the nervous system, aventurine is one of those rare general healers that can offer wellness to any part of the body upon which it is laid. As a general healing stone, it can also be used in tandem with other stones, such as rose quartz and malachite. Combined with rose quartz, aventurine can help open your heart and soul to love and compassion. Used in combination with malachite, the benefits are clarity and raised consciousness. Highly recommended and an excellent boon for young children, aventurine is a wonder stone for the well-being of the whole family.

Copper

This is the metal most consciously worn as a healer, as evidenced by the many copper bracelets you see on wrists. If worn on the left side of the body, copper is thought to have the power to actually prevent sickness. The latest fad I’ve noticed has golfers embracing copper to help strengthen their wrists to improve their swings. Healers place their faith in copper’s power to heal the body and mind based on its power as a conductor. Copper supports and reinforces the mineral content of gems and crystals so they interact better with your body. One school of thought propounds the belief that a crystal wand wound with copper is super-powered. You will notice that some of the healing rocks discussed in this book have copper as a trace element, which greatly amps up their power. Some of these copper-ore gemstones are azurite, chrysocolla, malachite, and turquoise. Copper reacts best with stones containing a lot of metal and reacts very little with stones that lack metal ore in their makeup. Tiger’s-eye, aventurine, rhodonite, and mica are metal-rich stones whose energies combine beautifully with copper. Do not place most crystalline stones in copper; the same holds true with pearls and coral. Amethyst is one of the only crystalline stones that will work well with copper. Copper also cooperates with gold and silver, and a multi-metal bracelet with the right stone is a powerful piece for healing!

Copper is found around the world and has been utilized since ancient times for tools, for decoration, and for jewelry. It has played a significant role in the cultures of the Greeks and Romans, Native Americans, Egyptians, and peoples in India, China, and Japan. Copper, which is ruled by Venus, was believed to be able to protect against evil and is said to attract love, especially if set with emeralds. The Egyptians relied upon copper for the ritual of burying the dead. Copper is deeply ingrained in our human history for its use as sacred knives, candleholders in early churches, Asian prayer diagrams, purification vessels, and countless other holy instruments.

This metal stimulates the flow of energy throughout the body and also the mind. Anyone who suffers from lethargy should wear copper to get out of his or her rut. That reminds me—where are my copper bracelet and wand? Copper is believed to be a helpmate to the body’s blood, soft tissue, immune system, metabolism, and mucous membranes. It has also been credited with being a purifier, lending feelings of freedom and possibility, and having positive effects on self-esteem, communication skills, and confidence levels. Even better, it is known as a lucky metal, and you’ll be twice as lucky if you combine it with cat’s- eye, coral, opal, or Apache tear. Quite frankly, who could ask for anything more?

Bracelets

I love bracelets and am wearing an aventurine cuff right now. The wrists are perfect pulse points. Organic gems, such as coral and abalone, are very helpful for energy flow and release. Turquoise is great for stabilizing and calming you physically.

Ancient cultures loved to wear armbands and cuffs, and those have gone out of style except among the most dramatic of fashionistas. Perhaps we should try to bring this style back because gem and crystal armbands are very good for body and soul.
