Witch Craft: Angel Accessing Charm for Protection

In your travels along the sacred path, you doubtless have gathered up many natural treasures, such as seashells, driftwood, crystals, and small pebbles. You can create a simple “Angel Accessing Tool” from your collection of nature’s blessings. Make an amulet any time you want to gather up the good energy of those unseen who can help and protect you (and drive away the not so helpful energy). Here’s how to make an amulet you can hang whenever you need to call upon angelic aid.

Gather together

    * sections of string, at least 6 inches (15cm) in length, one for each crystal

    * small chunks of crystal (celestite, amethyst, aquamarine, muscovite, morganite, and selenite can all         help you make contact with your guardian angels)

    * a stick (a small piece of sea-smoothed driftwood is perfect)

Tie a piece of string around each chunk of crystal. Attach each string to your stick of wood so the crystals are hanging from the stick. Hang your amulet anywhere in your home you want to “make contact.”

Once you have crafted your magical tool, you should store it in a safe place and bring it out when you really need angelic intervention. When I lived in a big city that had lots of car break-ins, I made one for my car and the era of broken windows ended for me. I recommend one for your office space, too. We all need work angels! You can welcome unseen and benevolent spirits into your home and life with this conjuring charm.

A Gathering of Angels: A Ritual of Preparation for Surgery

Call your friends together before the surgery date. It can be at your home or any place that feels safe and secure. I highly recommend raising some healing energy at the home of the person who is to undergo the surgery, as it will create an aura of restoration. Ask each person to bring something to comfort, reassure, and cure the celebrant: soup, fixings, a soothing eye pillow, sleep balm, a hand-knitted scarf for warmth, body lotion, herbal teas, books, or lavender-infused slippers are all wonderful gifts.

Form a circle of care around the celebrant and light candles. Unscented soy candles are probably best for health reasons. As you go around the circle, ask each person to give his or her gift of caring to the celebrant and say what it represents.

The ritual continues until everyone has had a turn to speak and healing gifts and loving energy surround the celebrant. I suggest giving the celebrant hankies beforehand, as I know I myself could not stop my tears of joy. It is completely up to the celebrant to say or do whatever she or he feels during the ritual. In many cases, they may say nothing due to the intensity of this event.

Selenite

Here we have an angelic stone, one that can help you tune into your guardian angels and discover the real reason you are here on Earth—the divine purpose for your existence. Named for the moon, this white, glowing lucky stone is gypsum and must be handled carefully, as it is partially water soluble. Egyptians favored this white stone as an amulet. This stone can also be placed over the third eye to access stored information about your past lives. Selenite, with its white swirls, can give an enormous boost to creative visualization. In the same way this crystal retains, it is good for letting go and helps you forgive. Selenite can also be used for healing of the nerves, reproductive organs, and spine, lending flexibility. It is a record-keeping stone and carries information from the centuries on Earth it has witnessed. it can be a most auspicious crystal ball for gazing. A rare kind of selenite is gold selenite from Australia. It is good for grounding.

Celestite

Celestite takes its name from the heavenly blue color for which it is favored, though its range of hues includes shades of white and yellow. Celestite, mined for its salts and the strontium it contains, has another connection to the sky in that it is used in fireworks where it flames a fiery crimson. Celestite has occurred notably in the Great Lakes Region of North America as well as in Sicily, Germany, and Madagascar. It is sometimes mistaken for its look-alike, barite, but a flame test will tell the truth. If the flame is a pale green, the mineral is barite, but if it is red, it is most certainly celestite.

Celestite, which resonates with all the chakras, is most powerful. A geode of celestite crystal is believed to be filled with angel energy and brings the highest consciousness. It is a great balancing stone, creating attunement with high intellect and evening out male and female energies within any person.

Celestite is the stone to keep with you before any speaking engagements or writing that you need to do and do well. It aids the flow of thoughts and words. Most interestingly of all, it is a “listening stone.” Hold a piece of celestite and listen carefully to the voice within; the wisdom from this stone will reveal your deepest intuition and lead you to the right action.
